this started in october first thing I did was add some 2001 chevy power buckets then it was time to remove all the old original stock suspension and prepare for newer 87 suspension

now the front and spent a couple of hours grinding off all the old welding and crap that was on the frame had a humongous powersteering box off of something was probably a chevy but hung below the frame but I got it all cleaned up and got captain fab plate and used my 87 box

Re: 65 BBW 3/4 ton lifted shortbed 4x4
pulled cab back to grind off more crap on insides of frame rails looked like someone welded in a crossmember instead of bolting also got rid of this tubular motor mount and put in a nice strong one out of my 87 also gonna be pumping some power and dont wanna twist a frame then we pulled the cab so the rest could go to the machine shop to be shortened and the motor got pulled to way to stock for me I am dieing to get my stroker back from the machine shop

Re: 65 BBW 3/4 ton lifted shortbed 4x4
more of removing the cab and motor and new steering box update I got so much time in this project but I love doing it this is the 3rd one I have built for myself and this time I can afford to do it so I am doing it how I want then gonna pull the cab and down to bare frame and have powdercoated and whole truck painted after I make sure its just how I like it

Re: 65 BBW 3/4 ton lifted shortbed 4x4
here are some with my crappy bed gonna try to find a nicer on bought one but its only got one good side but its borderline and here is another of the seats and one of my new redone cluster and of my tilt column I scored out of a parts truck I bought unseen have bought over 13 trucks so far for this project and now they are paying for this rebuild also still have to cut 8" off back of frame so the bed will sit down flat this is all the farther I am so far but its slowly coming together so we can drive for the summer and decide if I want to do anything else then next winter or the one after depends on how much Hay I bale and can sell I am gonna take all back apart and start blasting and powder coating and getting body back to perfect

Man this build looks like fun! Nice to see the family and dog in the garage. Their support makes it so much more gratifing as you make progress on your build. Since I started working on my truck, it seems like the garage has become a focal point for family gatherings. Good work travis, Keep posting the pics of your progress! I like big ba trucks Your gonna like it.

not much more done but got some time today to work on it got the fuel tank mounted solid. And all my electric fuel system and filter setup should be here this week getting more motivated to work on it now because motor should be done in a week or two they told me last Friday cant wait so gotta get to working on it. also got the tails or the frame cut off and ground smooth not much to look at, at least at this point hopefully next weekend I get brakes and fuel lines done and tranny put in it them maybe some pics of a 383 motor
