77 Scottsdale Package

Hey guys,

I am looking for some info. about this trim (paint) package on the these trucks. I think if I am not mistaking that my truck had the same package. I am having a hard time locating this trim. Thanks in advance for any help.

Go over to www.73-87.com and look under special editions. That should make you smile for a while..

Re: 77 Scottsdale Package

Ok thanks, it looks to be the "Big 10" package. My next question is was the stripes painted on or were they some kind of trim? If they were trim do any vendors carry them? Again thanks for the info.

Stripes were adhesive (stickers)

I think the trim package is 19J8 Sports Promotional Package. If anyone knows of any place to buy these stickers (trim) please let me know.

Re: 77 Scottsdale Package

Yep, that's a Chevy Sport. Someone on this board is very familiar with them and knows everything there is to know about them. The Scottsdale trim package doesn't have a whole lot to do with the stripe package. That was mainly for interior options on a Sport.

Do you have the glovebox sticker SPID or the factory build sheet from under the seat?

All 77 Chevy Sports were COPOs

As noted before they were a decal kit;I have not found anyone reproducing them for sale

The truck you have pictures of is one of the VERY few left with original stripes

Yes the 77's are hard to find info on. It would be nice to see the SPID from your truck or the build sheet. I have a 77 4x4. I would like to see another example to compare. They are all scottsdale equipped. Mine has 6Q9 Floor Carpeting and 9J9 Deluxe Sport Equipment. Also PA6 Styled Wheels with WS 10-15/B Wide Polyester white lettered tires.

Re: 77 Scottsdale Package

These are the only pictures I have of my 77 Chevy Sport I ordered brand new. I believe the Sport Package was Scottsdale Package, stripes, white spoke wheels, chrome locking gas caps and a 2" single roll bar. I ordered it with tach, chrome bumpers, chrome grille and dual tanks.

I still have my dad 76' Chevy Sport he bought new.

Re: 77 Scottsdale Package

COPO is central office production order.
I dont know how many were made. No way to find out, but they are few and far between now.

Thanks for posting a pic of your spid. I see your truck is black like the truck in the previous posts. Great color combo.

Here is my spid:
