Re: disc brakes with single master

Pretty sure you need the dual master to run disc. Also need a pop valve to adjust pressure between the front and rear brakes

I feel that a dual pot MC is the single most safety item you can do to our trucks. They have a disc/drum MC that isn't a power assist if you want it.

Tempting as it may be to use the single reservoir MC, DON'T DO IT! Look at any car or truck with disc brakes and you will see they all have a dual MC. In 1967, law was passed that all vehicles needed the dual MC and it's an important safety feature. Don't risk your safety, or the safety of others.
Just my 2 cents.

Re: disc brakes with single master

You cannot-the OE drum MC has a check valve which will keep pressure on the discs.

Re: disc brakes with single master

I agree with above. Switch to dual master. I used this thread to do mine before I switched to power. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=332148

Re: disc brakes with single master

the pressure for front and back brakes are differant for disc and drum. if you run it like that you will be only be running one set of brakes. plus the masters are really cheap.
