72 burb 4x4 w/BBC - anyone ever heard of how to do it?

454 in a 4x4 '72 -
Anyone ever done one?
I was told the only way was with a BFH -
Ended up moving the engine & tranny forward 2 inches - from the words of a wise old man - the only way without beating the living snot out of the firewall.
