Question factory interior colors for the 60-66?

what were the factory interior colors for the 1960-'66 Chevy pickups

I know fawn beige was common but is this picture of my interior a factory color?

That doesn't look factory.
I thought stock interiors were either fawn or silver.

no, yours has had everything painted!
for 66 you should have a brown dash, and everything else should be fawn.

well that explains that. i wonder why somebody would repaint the interior on a truck with only 94k original miles. i mean it even had the original exhaust on it when i bought the truck. i doubt the paint in the interior would deteriorate that much.

is there a way to tell the factory colors of my truck just in case my truck wasn't originally a 2 tone truck.

judging from your front shot , the truck has had a repaint, the inside of the hood scoops are blue , which would be black factory, also the area behind the grille should be black , not white.

judging by the way that it has been repainted, especially in your interior shots, you should be able to see some of the factory colors by pulling some easy parts, (it looks like they taped off around all the trim ) I would pull the taillight housing to see what the original bed color was, and then maybe pull a short cab trim to see if it was two tone underneth. you can pull the paint trim code off the trim tag that is by the vent on the lh kick panel, and post it some guys know some of the codes.
the factory wrapped the white stripe around the back of the cab and about a foot in , if yours stops at the end of the chrome , it might not be factory.

another thing to think about... maybe only the instrument cluster has 94 k on it....
I got a 66 that had 60 k on it , but after further investigation , I noticed that the cab had been changed, so I really had no way of knowing what the real mileage was....

If you can try to contact the original owner(s) and see why the front and interior were repainted.

Re: factory interior colors for the 60-66?

i contacted the original owner of the truck and spoke with him, he bought it in 1967 with 15k miles on it, and just drove it, did whatever, and repainted it all himself, which outside wise, it isnt great but isn't horrible by any means. and the engine was also rebuilt not too long ago as well.
