oil temp gauge

Were would i install the sending unit for a oil temp gauge

usally on the back of the block is it on a 350?

On a highway truck,KW Pete etc,they are usually in the oil pan.You could probably do the same,just tap into the pan.

Either the pan or they make a manifold that goes inline with your oil cooler or remote oil filter. It's just a block of aluminum wirh a hose fitting on either side and a threaded port for your sender. The back of the block behind the intake on a sm block chevrolet is for oil pressure not temp. Some remote oil filter mounts have a spot for a oil temp sender. Moroso and others. Some circle track oil pans come with fitting for an oil temp guage (usually a manual type guage is used) as equipment

Yes its a sb 350 and realy wasnt tryin to drill the pan didnt want to remove it couse its in the truck
