Eye candy for the "stock" crowd

Here is another truck me and my buddies "restored". This truck belongs to the son of the Dually owner(on another post). It is a 72 Custom Deluxe 20 with the Highlander package. All stock on outside but sneaky on the inside. 400 small block with TBI. We did our best to hide th FI. It also has a 700-r4 and a custom hounds tooth interior. What do you think?

Very nice! I happen to prefer a stock or near-stock appearance, and mechanical upgrades to improve day-to-day driving are always appreciated!

Green,

The computer is under the passenger side of the seat. The combo worked really well. He just had a few drivability problems at first but we got those ironed out. Now it cranks up and runs great. Smooth as silk! If look at the interior pic, you can see the "check engine light". It and the diagnostic port are right there. The check engine light is a small orange LED light. You can't even see it.

The caps remind me of a beefier style of the old Moon discs used by the custom crowd & lake bed speedsters. IMHO

BBB, very nice. What did you do for a shift indicator? What about TC lock up control and hows your shift feel? I did the 4L60 some time ago and I'm still working out these little problems.

Very nice looking truck! I have to agree on the wheel covers though, that wouldn't work for me.
