Question about my stock 6-luggers

I'm looking to eventually replace my stock rims on my '70 fleetside. I have the 6-lugs. I want to get maybe a set of 20's. The question I have is, which ones will fit correctly? What backspacing do I need to look for? What is the lug pattern? I need to make sure they will fit correctly before I buy them. Thanks.

Re: Question about my stock 6-luggers

6x5.5 just like the new chevys amd gmc trucks. The backspacing is where the problem is. New trucks have like 5.5in backspacing and i think 4in is max for our old trucks. So if you found a cheap deal on a set of 20s for a newer truck you would have to buy 1-1.5in spacers

Re: Question about my stock 6-luggers

Backspace will depand on wheel width. 9", front is good for 4" bs, rear can go +1-1.5 or stagger with wider wheel. 1 inch wider is 1/2" less bs.

This is very confusing, but very useful info here. Thank you!
