My drop is done!

Well, I finally finished the drop on my truck. Overall I think it's about a 5/7 drop maybe a 4/6. I put 3 inch DJM drop spindles on the front, and a flip kit on the rear. After doing both of these, I realized that the rear was quite a bit lower than the front and didn't look how I wanted it. So I cut a coil off the front and now it sat more level but now the tires rubbed the fenders when I hit a bump! Just from taking it down the gravel road from my Dad's shop it had already put a decent sized scrape in the tire. So I decided it was time for me to buy new tires. I went with BF Goodrich Radial TA's all around. Sizes were 245/60r15 for the front and 275/60r15 for the rear. I'll post some pics below of the process, lemme know what you think.

Re: My drop is done!

Looks perfect but be careful driving with that clearance. I personally would go back to the tall tires and pull the fenderwells

I would have just kept the old tires and not even bought new ones but the tires were actually hitting on the bottom of the fender, not the fenderwells. I think it might have been a combination of how wide the tires were and how tall they were. They were 255/70 and these ones are 245/60.

Re: My drop is done!

Yes sir, I did one after I put the spindles on. Do I need to do another one now that I cut a coil off the front?

Re: My drop is done!

I can pretty much tell you every place in town where that happened. And one REALLY cool place along Hwy 69. Hit that one at night and put out a solid spark show. They fixed it about 10 years ago though.
