Driveshaft issue
Okay so I'm in the process of pulling my transmission and I'm having a helluva time trying to get the driveshaft to drop from the pumpkin. I have the c clips removed, tapped on it with a hammer and pried on it with a bar to get it to slide forward enough to drop but can only get it to move maybe an 1/8". Its a single piece driveshaft and has a flip kit in the rear so I'm thinking maybe with it being flipped the slip yoke is already pushed into the transmission as far as it can go? If this is the case what can I do to get the driveshaft out?

Re: Driveshaft issue
You can loosen the engine mounts and move the whole engine forward a little or loosen the rea axle and move it towards the rear of the truck. What I would think hard about, though is that your driveline is too long and it may be causing some damage to the rear putput shft components as you drive it and hit bumps in the road. You need more play than an 1/8" clearance.
