any one use LMC drop spindles to swap out front drum brakes

OK I was ordering parts from LMC and since I get dealer priceing and I was getting free shipping I thought I would just order the deop spindles and 6 lug rotors from there. The rotors were the same price as CPP and I figured the free shipping would make up for the rest, they say the spindles work with 71-72 brake componets but I called to ask what ball joints get used and they dont have a clue. So I was hopping someone on here has used them and will same me a trip to the part store trying out ball joints..............Thanks

I only buy from people who know their products. Their dealer pricing helps bring them closer to reasonable,I guess, but it ain't much. Been there, done that. My GM dealer gives me more than double what they do.

I would just use a board vendor.The $$ difference(if any) isn't worth the hassle.

Re: any one use LMC drop spindles to swap out front drum brakes

Is this for your '70?

You no longer need to use 71-72 spindles or 73-87 spindles.
TOO much hassle.
Buy "year specific" drop spindles.
Everyone sells them now.
In your case it would be 63-70 drop spindles.
They are a direct bolt on.
No balljoint change.
No tie rod change.

I'm not a fan of LMC,... no matter what the price is.

Re: any one use LMC drop spindles to swap out front drum brakes

It is for my 70 and it said they are year specific beside the calipers and brake pads are 71-72 and the aftermarket 6 lug rotors of course, I was just wandering if anyone had used them. Didnt want to go get everything for the 70 and find out it 71 ball joint and tierod ends. I never had a problem with LMC before this, there is a lot of stuff I wont buy from them but theres a lot of little thing I get from there. Like I said I got the spindles from there not because they where the cheapest but because it got me the free shipping and thats what made it cheaper. And I did check out alot of vendors and when they want to set me up a dealer account I will order more stuff from them........Thanks Guys............Special K I didnt know GM sold drop spindles?

Re: any one use LMC drop spindles to swap out front drum brakes

Got my spindles today and guess what.....there CPP spindles, so I'm guessing they take stock ball joints and outer tierod and 71 up brakes, caliper, bearings
