Differences in 67-72 Bench Seats
Will a 68 Bench seat bolt into a 70 truck? Will a 71-71 seat cover fit on a 68 seat? Thanks for the help.

The seats all have the same bolt pattern. If that seat you have folds forward I do not think that cover will work. If not I don't see why not.

So, the 71/72's didn't fold forward?

I know there are two or three different seat configurations and I think each one takes a different foam and cover. I know one is full foam and one is coil spring but not sure about the other one. I don't know what years each was available either. LockDoc

However, I have two bench seats from different years and they have completely different bolt patterns. |

Re: Differences in 67-72 Bench Seats
ive got a 67 seat in my 70, because i like how the 67 and 68 fold forward, with a 70 cover on it, my upolstry guy just had to modify it a little so the seat would still fold forward without any problems, all the bent seats ive come across bolt in the same spot

Re: Differences in 67-72 Bench Seats
Thanks guys. I'm looking at purchasing a houndstooth cover for a 71-72 and using it on my 68 seat is why I ask. Appreciate the help.

I would PM member "Truckseats" and ask him because I don't think that will work. Just my 2¢ worth. LockDoc

Re: Differences in 67-72 Bench Seats
I think we will try and make it work. If not, I have a cover for a future 71/72

Re: Differences in 67-72 Bench Seats
The bench that came in my 67 folds forward but its not even close to the correct floor bolt pattern. It appears to be a correct looking seat but is narrower then it should be.
So the PO used one existing factory hole then just drilled a single hole on the passenger side. Would it have came out of an earlier Chevy Truck? It's in pretty good shape and it would be good to know. Now the hunt is on for a Utah correct seat! Just for a clear confirmation, all bench seats have the same floor mount pattern? I saw the post with the differences in the brackets. Thanks in advance.

Re: Differences in 67-72 Bench Seats
Don't know if it's true or not but I heard the back rest part of a 71-72 seat is taller than the earlier seats. Anyone else heard this? I would like to put a 68 cover on a 71-72 frame.

Check that link as well. Lots of good info on the bracket/track differences.
