Found one.

I bought a 1987 swb 4x4 down in Texas. True old man truck. Those are the kind I like. It’s a 305 truck with 70K original on it. It still has all the emissions on it. Very unmolested, and drives like new.

It looks black but is actually Dark Alburn Metallic with brown interior.

Nice find! Probably the crown jewel model/options of 73-87 in my opinion.

Re: Found one.

What is the plan with this one. Just going to be a DD or do you any ideas for it.

It will be my other daily driver. I am going to get some 31 10.50 bfg's, go through the brakes, aling it, go through the front hubs, all the fluids, and drive it. It leaves me something to drive when I am working on my 2wd and vice versa. The paint isn't the greatest on it either, so I can work out of it and not hurt it. It will get a paint job later on. And yes, it will stay brown.

Thanks for the positive reviews.

Re: Found one.

I thought my interior was burgundy but after seeing yours they're identical...now I'm wondering if it's brown. Do you happen to know what the RPO code is for brown?

Re: Found one.

Thanks a ton Duster for the SPID pic. I spent some time looking at the color and availability chart from 1987 on www.gmheritagecenter.com but I can't piece it together since the interior color codes are 4 digits. I'll quit mucking up your thread and start another one to satisfy my curiosities.

Sweet truck!!!

Re: Found one.

Leevon, looking at the SPID I am going to guess that the 76I is the interior color. 66U is going to be the paint code, WA8267 is what you would use to mix it. Depending on the plant, that may be waterborne.

Nice find on the truck, I saw it on CL.

You aren't bothering me. Post what ever you want on there. Let me know if you need anything else. I think Jonboy is correct on it though.

Re: Found one.

Very nice. I like the brown. It sets is apart from the standard colors you see. My son says I'm "old manning" our truck with the bumper guards and I want to put on a hood ornament. I got the bumper guards but I think I'm going to lose on the hood ornament.

Aluminum running boards = old man

Don't see a problem with the bumper guards and hood ornament.
