Talking Lowering help please!

I have a 1972 GMC Seirra Grande and I am wanting to lower it but I want to keep the leaf springs. I am at least wanting to lower it 2.5-4 but I thought about going lower than that if I can find a way without c-notching my frame. The lower the better but I don't want to notch it. Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance y'all.

Re: Lowering help please!

4"-5" rear drop using drop leaf springs would be your best bet.
Look at www.performanceonline.com for drop leaf springs and shackles.

A DJM flip kit would be cheaper, but will drop it more.
(and probably require a c-notch)

Thanks for the link! The 5 inch drop leafs will rock!!!! Any ideas on how to do a 3.5 inch drop on the front? Any pics of a longbed with a 3.5-5 drop would be nice.

Re: Lowering help please!

Hey Billet, I dropped my 71 with 2.5" spindles, cut one coil (big block)for a 4" drop in front and did a home made flip kit for 5" in the rear. perfect drop for cheap. I did however do a notch since i had the bed off. You might get away with no notch but it will be close. The truck is my avatar, ill have to down load a pic for you.

Buy 71-72 2.5" drop spindles, and 1" drop coils,...
