Windhshield pillar replacement - source?

My 1961 Apache is relatively rust free - But I found this weekend that the rust at the base of the windshield pillar is much worse than it looked. I was going to just wire brush it and put some rust encapsulator on it, but it pretty much disintegrated on me. It looks to me like the best thing to do would be to replace the windshield pillar (if I can find a replacement). I can see where the spot welds are at the base - not sure how it attaches to the roof? Any suggestions?

Also any ideas on where to find a replacement? - I figure there must be junkyards out there that have a decent one they'd be willing to cut out? - Also any idea what year trucks would have same pillar?

Thanks in advance,
Ray
