Re: 69-72 saddle steering wheel

March 28 to April 11 is a few days? Where you been? Is your name Rumplestiltskin?
It been on my truck almost two weeks! I know how you feel. There was another one here, with no cracks at all,not long ago I/we missed. It was posted after I went to bed, like this one,and when I got on my 'puter at 5 am it had been sold already about 1 am. They say,"Ya snooze,ya lose",but DANG,a man's gotta sleep sometime! Re: 69-72 saddle steering wheel

Interesting....the backside of the hub lacks the threaded holes for the wheel puller. Wonder if this was a later run OEM wheel with the part # that starts with 3 rather than 9. I just grabbed a later run black OEM wheel that lacks these holes through the backside - these holes are present on my earlier OEM wheels.

Re: 69-72 saddle steering wheel

Good observation. Notice the three holes for the horn mount aren't visible from the back, either. I'm comparing my N.O.S. wheel and see other differences now. Those little molding divots in the rim are on opposite sides of the spoke and oblong on my N.O.S. one.

Huh - keep us posted Tim. I'd like to know the part # and we can move this to a separate forum thread about wheels if need be. Pete

Sorry to hijack. I started a separate thread for OEM wheel differences here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...20#post6010120
