dual tank selector valve

gas just started running out of what looks like a vent tube on the selector valve when on the r. tank only. i just put new tanks, senders & lines in couple years ago, but re-used my 28 yr old s. valve. never actually taken one apart, is this fixable, or do i need to change it? is that a vent on the selector? or?

Re: dual tank selector valve

Best thing to do is replace the valve...Autozone....has Lifetime warranty on theirs....

Re: dual tank selector valve

removed the old selector valve, obviously not repairable. went & got a new one.
what is the small middle outlet for? my old one had a piece of tubing on it pointing down. gas was pouring out this. is it a weep hole like a water pump? a vent? anyone know?

Re: dual tank selector valve

I believe its just a vent tube. Once it leaks there ......Just replace and you should be good for years..
