Re: Front bumper brackets

The 67-70 brackets Are shorter due to the fact that the outer mounting holes are about dead center of where the 71-72 parking lights are in the bumper. When GM put the parking lights in the bumper in 71, they had to make the outer holes farther out toward the edge to miss the parking lights.

I have a set of 67-70 brackets if you are interested.

Re: Front bumper brackets

The 71-72 outer brackets are longer then the 67-70 (both 2wd and 4wd) to clear the parking lights. Inside brackets are the same for all.

Jos I hope you don't mind me highjacking a bit. I've been told there is a difference between 71-72 2wd and 4wd, if there is can someone tell me what it is?

2wd brackets are different from 4wd on all yrs due to the leaf spring mounts. The ones I have are 2wd in case it wasn't stated.
