Fog light bumper from LMC??
I'm needing a new front bumper and I have seen this lighted one from LMC. Was wondering if anyone has one, and has feedback on it?
Also, I see they only list it for 67-68 GMC. I am wondering what the difference is? I thought all gmc bumpers were notched for park lights? Are the 67/68's not? That leads me to the next question. If I put a non-notched bumper on, how much does it hide my turn signals?

Re: Fog light bumper from LMC??
It's been on my truck since 2006. It's sat outside every day except for a couple years when I bought my house, but then I had to kick it back outside for my mustang.
Can't help with the notch thing... The only thing I don't like about it, maybe it's been "fixed" by now is that on mine, and a lot of the ones I looked at you can see the "weld lines" for the light brackets through the chrome on top of the bumper. You have to look right at it to notice it though.

Re: Fog light bumper from LMC??
Thanks for feedback!
So there is a bracket or brace of some sort from the bucket to the top of the bumper? Do you feel they light up worth an extra 150? What do the lights bolt to? The bracket you see the welds on? Bumper brackets? etc? |

Re: Fog light bumper from LMC??
I'll take some pics when I get home, but yes, they hang from a bracket welded on the backside at the top.
I hardly use the lights but they are pretty bright. I bought it strictly for the look. I see they're $300 now but I got mine for $120. It was a display for the truck shop at the charlotte autofair, they were all sold out so I bought it and they couldn't find the wiring kit for it. I just bought a wiring kit off ebay for like $5. I actually wired them up for the first time just a couple years ago.

Re: Fog light bumper from LMC??
If I'm reading right, its 300 for the bumper, and 50 for the lights?
Sounds like a killer deal you got! Plus welcome to inflation :/ |

Re: Fog light bumper from LMC??
Pics:
Not the best, it's raining, and the 67/8 C10's have a splash apron so you can't really see the bracket.

Re: Fog light bumper from LMC??
I bought mine from LMC in 2007 and it is for a Chevy. I like the look but the lights are pretty much useless as fog lamps and definitely can't use them to drive at night.

Re: Fog light bumper from LMC??
67, thanks for pictures and link. Makes sense now what your saying.
Hayson, why do you say they are useless at night? Because its 4x4 and shines in peoples back glass, to high? etc? Mine looks to be about as tall as yours. |

Re: Fog light bumper from LMC??
They just don't shine far enough down the road and my dim lights actually do a better job lighting the road. I have all my lights adjusted down so they don't hit oncoming traffic in the eyes

Re: Fog light bumper from LMC??
I have one, I like it. Nice bumper
Fog lights are not suppose to shine that far out. Ron

Re: Fog light bumper from LMC??
I have them. I run them off a solenoid that is on with the key. Anytime my engine is running they are on. I use them so other stupid people will see me and not try and pull out in front of me or something. I use them as daylight driving lights or something. I remember they interfere with the mounting brackets for the bumper. Had to install everyting loose and tighten the bolts a little at a time. One is out right now and I have to remove the bumper bracket to get to the bulb to replace it. With all the hassle I still love the look and like the daylight driving insurance.

Re: Fog light bumper from LMC??
chop top, since your GMC. How much does the bumper block the turn signals?

Re: Fog light bumper from LMC??
This bumper in no way obstructs the turn signals. You have to look close but you can see the turn signals. Maybe go to my gallery under my name and check out my pictures in my library for a better view.
