Re: My Old 66 chevy
The problem is that I live in Oregon and this time a year it rains like the dickens!
I have some pics of the motor, but they are not current. Will get some on soon though. |

For every one who visits this sight, I would love some ideas for the truck!

Re: My Old 66 chevy
I've seen you commenting on other threads which means you've been checking them out. That is the best way to get ideas!
That is one of my favorite things about these trucks. There are so many different ways to build one, from farm truck to drag truck to low rider to 4x4. I'm not sure too many people would tell you what to build but once you decide I'm sure they will tell you how, if it hasn't already been explained here somewhere. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. I am in the same situation ... Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: My Old 66 chevy
If those seatbelts are original, they are a nice find. You don't see many of the trucks w/factory belts. Do they have a factory tag on the back of them? It'd be on the webbing. Engine looks solid. Those 292's have alot of torque. There will be some interest in the throttle pedal. Is it set up on a cable or is it direct linkage?

The 292 has 147,000 miles on it. Runs pretty strong though!

Re: My Old 66 chevy
Nice truck TJ I am in Medford. If you ever need anything PM me. I head to GP quite a bit. Not in CJ too often but for a young man and his truck I could probably make the effort.

Re: My Old 66 chevy
Is it just my eyes, or the picture? The flange doesn't look like it is welded all the way around.

Thanks jesseo! I'll no doubt call about some parts here soon. We should make a time to meet each other one of these years.

TJ,
what paint did you use on those headers? They turned out sweet!
