Rear wheel spacers

I recently got some 2 inch rough country spacers for the rear of my blazer to fix the wheel offset. I go to put them on today and the inner hole is small than the one on the hub. The hole on the adapter measures 3 inches and to fit flush it against the hub it needs to go around a 3 1/2 inch part on the hub. Anyone ran into this. Any other company that makes spacers with bigger inner holes? Or should I just get these machined out.

Do you have any pictures of before and after to see how much better it looks?

Re: Rear wheel spacers

If there is plenty of room around the center hole that is too small that the spacer will still be strong enough after enlarging it......I'd just get them machined.

Re: Rear wheel spacers

Late model axles have smaller diameter hubs.

And the rear axle width does not need to be fixed, it is a engineered design.

if you want to 'fix' the problem find a 14bff axle out of a van, they have a wms-wms measurement of 70" which happens to be 1/2" wider than the front axles.

Here's my 86 with a van axle.

Re: Rear wheel spacers

I dropped the spacers off at a machine shop. They are enlarging the hole by 1/2inch and going 5/8 deep. This should allow them to fit flush to the hub. The "fix" is solely for appearance and this vehicle will never see anything but pavement.

Re: Rear wheel spacers

What year van are those axles found in? Do the spring perches need to be modified?

Re: Rear wheel spacers

Mine was out of a 79 van. Worked in the 86 but perches would have to be narrowed for the 69-72 K5's.
