350 rocker question

Has anyone ever ran and mixed rocker arm size on a 350 of 1.5 intake and 1.6 exhaust? I am building a vortec 350 bored .30 over mild cam and have heard that 1.6 rockers on exhaust will give more torque. And can they be ran with stock valve springs?

Re: 350 rocker question

It can be done but I think the gains would be minimal, thats unless your compensating for a weak exhaust port?

Re: 350 rocker question

IMO, you won't see anything in your engine and it will cost more because you have to buy 1/2 set of each. Pure race engines will sometimes use 1.6 on the intakes and some claim small power gains but I've never heard of anyone claiming more power from 1.6's on exhaust. Most of the modern cams are biased a little in the duration department towards the exhaust to help make up for a compromised exhaust port shape.

Re: 350 rocker question

Your in Colorado, you need a mountain motor !

At least stroke that 350 to 383.

Make it a torque monster.
Use an RV Cam.
Put Fuel Injection on it.

Add turbo or supercharger.

Gear ratio at least 4.10
