Auto Metal Direct

Has anyone ever used parts from this vendor? I found them online and there is a dealer pretty close to where I live. The prices are comparable to LMC from what I have seen.

Re: Auto Metal Direct

I got rockers, floor edges, front wells and a 67-68 cowl hood from them, the rockers were dead on, the floor edges and wells haven't been fitted yet and the cowl hood seemed to fit better than most I've seen on this forum. All the parts seem good quality. One complaint, they provided tracking numbers that didn't seem to translate to anything, wasn't a problem just saying.

Re: Auto Metal Direct

Are they manufacturers or direct from mfgr distributors? Just wondering what the "Direct" in their name is from. If they don't make parts they'll have the same stuff as others...and that's my bet. If they're close to eliminate shipping then that's a big consideration

Re: Auto Metal Direct

Some of the best repro stuff I have seen actually. Summit Racing carries their truck stuff (assuming that's what you're needing)

Re: Auto Metal Direct

Thanks for the heads up. They are probably half an hour from my house so shipping and tracking isn't going to be an issue. I will give them a try.

Re: Auto Metal Direct

I believe their truck parts are Tri Plus ,a lot of their other parts are made over seas but with Their Owl tooling .I have a buddy who is a local vendor for them plus their warehouse is local too.

Do you have any pics of the cowl hood? Specifically the centre ridge body line. So far all the cowl holds I have seen are rounded instead of square'ish like factory.
