I see it says it's for a '57 chevy, is that for a truck or car?? i read it and didn't see what it was for.. it looks like a good price and just like the ones i've used from TCI but never heard of the name of this company..

I think this is a car set up, it says 56.5" track width. I believe the truck is 62".

Well I can say that it does look good. In the description it says that it fits a frame width of 23 to 30 inches. The TF trucks are 34 inches. They also state it can come in a wider frame size which would mean a wider price. It is more likely for the car and not the truck.

Helix are made in China go to the Hamb Forum Board and do a search on that vendor not very good reviews. Stay with Heidts, TCI or No-Limit you will be happier in the long run.

Re: comments on this IFS setup

That kit is not for a 55-57 car no way possible. First of all tri5's have IFS, second to install that kit you would have to cut the frame and build new frame rails in the front. There are kits for tri5 cars but you will notice they are built like clips. They have the frame rails included. The kit pictured is for a truck, as far as the measurements he must be talking about the inside measurements of the frame which would be closer to the 30 inches and its where the crossmember is installed on the inside. Outside the frame is 34. Now the track width he stated makes me nervous. Most of the TaskForce kits put you at a track width of 58 to 59 inches.

This is a clip I installed on a 56 Belaire, Notice it came with the frame rails, bumper mounts, and radiator support included in the clip. The original frame was cut near the firewall.

As far as the IFS in the original posters link, I have bought stuff from Helix but it was only drilled and slotted rotors and stuff and I am happy with them. I have not bought a IFS from them, so I can't speak of the quality of their IFS. That is a Mustang 2 unit and you can get a TCI or Heidts Mustang 2 for very close to that price. I agree with RudeDude because of the unknown factor unless you find someone that likes there units and have used them. I have no experience with their IFS units so it would be unfair for me to say what the quality is of something I do not have personal experience with.
