Aftermarket parts

I hope I am not asking a common question I searched and cant seem to find anything. Anyways I just got another 67-72 this time a 1970 short bed c10, it was originally a school district truck until last week, me now being the second owner. The truck is in pretty good condition 98% original, orig. 307/350 auto. basically zero rust. But the bed sides are pretty rough. I have seen the aftermarket sides for around $650 but I was wondering about the quality. I have quite a bit of experience with aftermarket body parts for newer vehicles, but I was wondering about these for our trucks. For one is the metal gauge/thickness the same? Are they all the same product just marketed/sold by different places or is there a difference between say LMC and Goodmark bed sides? These could be fixed but I would rather replace if I am not going backwards.
