My brother has a floor mount in his 62 f**d. He loves it. I'm probably going that route in my 57.

I'm ABOUT to install a transmission mounted 23" Lokar on my TH350. Bought it used in nice condition, just haven't gotten to it yet.

Have the floor mount, cable operated in mine with a shorter handle. The floor mount will cause you some consternation with the Lokar boot but it's a well made unit. You can see how I solved the boot problem. There might be an easier way, but I couldn't come up with it.
