What a great product! PART 2

Using the PREVAL system and a three hours of my time...this is what it looks like now. It's beautiful! Thanks for all the words of wisdom from those who responded.

Re: What a great product! PART 2

In one sentence, the Preval Sprayer is a professional grade spray system that is for countless applications, disposable, recyclable, easy to clean and where no compressor is needed.

Got mine at the Home Depot.

For this job, I used Eastwood's high temp/ceramic engine paint with a hardener/activator and reduced it slightly for spraying.

I have also used it for small parts and other body panel jobs.

I understand that there are a number of body/paint shops that still use them for smaller jobs.

Thanks, j.kirn!

A lot of sweat/time has gone into this project. I can't wait to get it installed, fired up and broke in next week.

Re: What a great product! PART 2

Same color as engine. I painted them separately, but will also have the silver painted Chevrolet scripts.

Re: What a great product! PART 2

For those that don't know... The Preval system utilizes small charged canisters to spray paint. You mix your exact paint/color up like a pro would & the canister utilizes compressed gas to apply the paint.

No worries about moisture from compressed air systems w/o dryers or traps & more color choices or the exact color needed vs the limited selection of rattle cans.

I've used those in the past for little touchups. It works well for small jobs.

Re: What a great product! PART 2

How many of the "power units" did it take to paint the engine? How many coats per can etc, thanks.

Re: What a great product! PART 2

They work great. Used them a lot in college to fix the uhhmmm "night before" mistakes. A fender, bumper, bed, two doors. Always used my gas cap to color match. We called em piggie backs. Color matching was 95% and great for keeping parental units at bay.

Thumbs up Re: What a great product! PART 2

Really nice...I'm looking that up next time I'm there. Lot better than cleaning up the gun everytime!
