Paintet Body..in which sequence mount!?

Hi guys!

I have painted the body from my 70 c10!

Everything looks great!

Now i ask me which is the right sequence to mount the parts!

I only mean the inner, outer fenders and the radiator support...i am scared to scratch a part from the new painted ones!

Should i mount at first the radiator support, then the inner fenders and at last the outer fenders?!

Which is the best way???

Regards

Sascha

Re: Paintet Body..in which sequence mount!?

This is the sequence that I use:

Hang doors and adjust

Install radiator support and leave mounts loose until fender to hood adjustments are made

Install fenders to match doors

Install hood

Once hood is installed and aligned, install grill

Install inner fenders after everything else is aligned and tightened

A good helper can help make sure no scratching is done, otherwise tape edges of sheet metal where contact can occur.

Re: Paintet Body..in which sequence mount!?

After you mount the cab/ doors, I would mount the bed and check the body lines from the cab to bed. If you mount and adjust front clip to cab first and you have issues with bed, that is alot of re-adjusting. The bed is a hard mount with little to no adjustment, you will have to adjust cab mounts to line up with bed.
