need some ideas
Hey guys i just got a lincon wire feed welder and was thinkin about making some sorta cheapo stuff to sell like candle holders and things like that in my spare time ... i can get free metal at work from the scrap bins ... i wonder if it would be worth it to make a bunch of chit for around the yard or artsy things....ive wonder if its worth the effort, if so what should i make?

If you have an ok artistic talent, i would make some random stuff out of scrap engine parts and scrap metal. I've seen these things run for a quite a bit of money. I once saw this butterfly made out of a cam (for the body) and scray metal and gears for the wings and eyes and stuff. It way cool and those things sell for at least a couple hundred bucks.
just my no sense

forget the "artsy-fartsy" stuff ... if you learn how to use that welder properly on thin sheet metal, you will have folks beggin' you to install cab corners, rockers and other patch panels.

my comment was meant as "light hearted" ... hell, I may even scrounge up some old cams and what not and fire up the old Miller for those kind of prices!
