Time to start... Got a year :-)
Well I was able to pick up my old truck from about 25 years ago from a friend. My dad had kept the truck I drove when I was a young boy (now 41) up until a few years back. He sold it to a neighbor who passed away recently which wanted to sell it. So I so begin the project of fixing up this truck for my now 13 year old son to drive when he turns 14 in a year. The truck is a 67' Long bed, 2WD, running 283 V8 and all for the whopping price of $400. The truck was painted tan camo when I was younger to use as a hunting truck, but a quick trip to the power washer and I'm sure most will fall off. I look forward to the adventure I'm about to undertake and apologize now for any questions I may ask after I've searched as long as I can!

Welcome to the board!
Cool history and story on this truck. I love the looks of the '67 small window. Include your son in the renewal of this truck and it will be time well spent. Congratulations on getting it back!

Re: Time to start... Got a year :-)
I am planning on getting him involved all I can. I want him to get his hands dirty on this one. I picked up a 51' Ford from a neighbors auction back in October of last year and needless to say, it's going on the back burner for now. It was a 51 Ford, 53' Flathead V8, and lots of ratrod potential! I paid $800 for it, but the flathead needs a little work before she will come to life.

That old F... reminds me of the old TV show "Sanford and Son". Cool patina and markings on it.
Enjoy your projects!
