Re: My first Paw-Paw truck....

what, no grandfathers in Canada?? (I think that's what he meant by paw paw, i.e. a gramps truck) Which it does look like - and it's way cool.

The only time I've ever heard someone say "paw" in reference to a father was on Little house on the prairie. Hahaha.

Re: My first Paw-Paw truck....

That's a sweet find. I guess you realize when you swap to a 71/72 grille you'll have two bow ties or holes in the hood since you don't want to paint

It's a native fruit bearing tree found in the Eastern US. The Native Americans and early settlers harvested them, but they are an all but forgotten food source these days:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_pawpaw
Folksy types are known to call their mothers and fathers Ma and Pa. Grandfathers often get referred to as Paw Paw. The "w" is added to assure it's pronounced correctly since,I think,Papa is also used for father and/or grandfather. The "w" may also be used to accentuate the southern drawl

Re: My first Paw-Paw truck....

It didnt even cross my mind about the bow ties, but i might just take the one off the hood, or just keep them both and be proud of it being a chevy haha

I love that truck, just change the front end, take the bow tie off the hood, and roll it how it is...
