Question 3/4 ton vs 1 ton axle widths

To use 1 ton dually wheels on a '70 GMC 3/4 ton, what width spacers do I need to use on the rear end for clearance? Seems like it would be a lot easier than swapping housings and then matching the gearing to the front axle.

Re: 3/4 ton vs 1 ton axle widths

I should have added that the original bed is completely thrashed and is being replaced with a flatbed, so I'm just worried about frame clearance. Thanx
