Good Rewire Kits
What's out there? I've only heard of painless......anything else out there better?

american auto wire classic update kit. comes with everything... plugs, switches, new style fuses, and great directions. There are also alot of provisions for update features, like power windows, electric fuel pump, etc

I put a Painless in my truck. There were some things I didn't like about it but there things I don't like about a lot of stuff. It was well marked and pretty flexible. When I bought mine from Summit it was on sale and Painless was giving a $100 rebate so the harness cost me about $240. If you don't mind doing a bit of work to make it fit how you want, not all bad.

If you are staying mostly stock with your electrical system why not just use stock components. Everything is right length, correct plugs and fits with no cutting. You can add the 1 wire alt to these. Custom wiring takes a lot of labor installing wire ends and plugs and switches. Just my .02.
