Modifying an existing seat cover
I bought a 70 Longhorn a year or so ago and the p.o. had the seat recovered. its a decent job but he cheaped out and just had the seating area done smooth, no pleats or pattern of any sort, so it looks cheap. Does anyone know if i could pull it off and have some pleats sewn in just on the seating area an re install it, or would it make it too small to fit back on?

Re: Modifying an existing seat cover
Show me a picture but probably not as far as ading pleats. If you want to sew in a new insert it may work out or just punch a new set of holes that will soon tear out. But if you wanted to take the existing seat cover and sew a flat pattern in against a padding you can probably add a design without changing the fit of the cover.
