How low can I go?

Hey guys, new guy to the forum. I have a 1986 chevy custom deluxe. I recently put some 20 wheels on her. They are 20x8.5 all the way around. The tires are 275/45/20's. I would like to do a 3" front drop and a 5" rear drop, but don't know if I could get away with that much. Any help or suggestions? This will be my first time lowering a truck, so I am a true noobie. I just want to make sure I'm not rubbing anywhere. Also would like suggestions on what to buy to do the job. Thanks a millions guys.

Re: How low can I go?

If your wheels will "tuck" inside the fenders and bedsides,... a 3/5 drop will work.
I use Belltech drop parts on 73-87 trucks.
