Is this carburator missing a part
Hi folks: I recently change the engine in my C10 69, but the carburator is overflooding gas and I want to rebuilt this one but I notice that behind the electryc shock is missing something. I would like to know if is complete or not.

Re: Is this carburator missing a part
Looks normal. It has the Choke pull off and secondary damper on the front. Some carbs have it at the back. Yours will work fine like that.

Re: Is this carburator missing a part
That looks like a later 70's carb with the integral choke.
If it were me, I'd look for an earlier series (less complicated) quadrajet with the divorced choke and simpler porting points and rebuild that. Do you have the electric choke hooked up for that carb? If not, you might want to convert it to a manual choke and lose the electric stuff on the passenger side. My two bits. Coley

Re: Is this carburator missing a part
Thanks folks:I also need to wire the electric choke but I'll take in my mind Coley's suggestion about manual Choke.I saw a video how to install manual choke but I also like to see how to wire the electrc choke.
Thanks |

Re: Is this carburator missing a part
To wire it just run a 12 gauge wire to the unfused spade on your fusebox.

Looks like a Rochesterasarus from the Jurassic period. Or maybe a Quadra-raptor.
