anyone put 2 1/16 in. gauges in dash

I,m looking for threads that someone has put the 2 1'16 in. gauges [I think that is the size, close to it anyway] in through the front of the gauge panel.I found some threads where the gauges are mounted from the back but I thought the front would be easier.I don,t what to wreck a good panel

Re: anyone put 2 1/16 in. gauges in dash

i just replaced my 4 with gauges. i had to trim a little off the plastic dash face. but mounted them through the metal and clamped them on the back. you will have to open the holes a little more and offset them a bit to your viewing pleasure. but i comes out pretty good. i retained my factory speedometer and fuel gauge. so i don't know about them. i don't have any pictures handy on my work computer, but if you pm me your email i can send you some later.

unless you can find a gauge that's like an inch thick, (good luck!), you will have to do some trimming. did my 4 small gauges with autometers
you will have to dremel the gauge housing a bit

That looks slick, any way to do the speedo and fuel gauges by using the bezel itself?

sorry, no. did the gauges a few yrs ago, was my first attempt at dicking with the wife's digi cam, only took a few. if it's depth to cut your looking for, i just slid the gauges in the hole & started trimming till it looked rite to me. also trimmed them on a bit of an angle to face me. only pic i have of the bezel
