Re: Freshened up the engine bay.
I know it was a tough call for me too. but it is only a few hours and its back to the way it was except with an orange block. the main reason for the change was to get rid of the old tired 250 HP and install a 400+ HP ZZ4. Just wanted to see it look somewhat stock.

Re: Freshened up the engine bay.
Your engine bay looks awsome either way!
Are your hood hinges painted or powder coated....and do they work correctly that way? |

Re: Freshened up the engine bay.
Not sure if its paint or powder coat, I assume it is paint, body was painted 7 yrs ago by the PO, I have owned the truck almost 3 yrs now and no issues no flaking paint on the hinges and opens and closed smooth as silk.

Re: Freshened up the engine bay.
I personally think it is a massive improvement - and it looked great even before the change! Nice job. I'd stick with it.

Re: Freshened up the engine bay.
Here is a pic of the serpentine system obviously not stock. Went with black to look a tiny bit stock.

Re: Freshened up the engine bay.
What sort of exhaust are you planning on? I'm with you on the HP, man. I went from an inline 250 to a 383, and I did notice a difference! lol

Re: Freshened up the engine bay.
Either Rewarder Block Hugger Headers (PO freebee) or More than likely Performance Ram Horns (Need to change exhaust routing a bit. It is a full SS with H pipe and Magnaflow (unknown model) exhaust and Magnaflow tips.

Re: Freshened up the engine bay.
Cool. I was thinking a set of those HP ram horns would look sweet. I do like an engine that looks stock, but has double the power!

Re: Freshened up the engine bay.
Just saw your other thread. March setup. I like it better than a lot of them I've seen.
