Re: Which rear end do I have

Measure your axles from the mounting surface (where the back side of the wheel would make contact) to the end of the splines. The early ones are 30 1/2" Later ones were 31 5/16" (not all were 5 lug.. some 6 luggers with the longer axles)

Usually if you find the OEM 5 lug axles they will be for the later rear end. Most 5 lugs @ 30.5" are some sort of aftermarket in my experience

Hope this helps..

Re: Which rear end do I have

If you're swapping out and the bolt that holds the pin breaks when you take it out.. I have the tool to fix it.

Let me know.. 85% of the time the bolt will break off down in the hole. Major PITA to fix if you don't have this tool.. you're welcome to borrow mine.

Re: Which rear end do I have

I got the bolt out okay but the pin broke just above the hole where the bolt goes in the pin. Where would be the best place to get a new pin.

Eww.. I don't know. Humm

Let me look around.. PM Randy and see if maybe he has one? Post a WTB on the parts board maybe?

.. in the mean time I will see what I can come up with. What ratio is in it now?
