Speedwarning/tach dash

Paypal is preferred with the buyer covering fees, or postal money order, but paypal is my preferred method. Shipping is CONUS, not Alaska or Hawaii or anywhere else over seas, unless buyer covers additional shipping charges. Posted prices are shipped plain old USPS.

speed warning/tach dash. I believe this was assembled with original pieces, not an original factory assembled dash, replacement bezel and maybe lens. was in running truck and tach worked occasionally but usually not, and speed warning never buzzed, although there is a harness and buzzer and everything seems to be there and sw needle turns freely. other gauges seemed to work properly. what is pictured is what is included. $400 or offer NEW PRICE $300 plus shipping and fees, so $335 shipped!!!

would trade for 72 extreme bend tow hooks if someone is interested in that

Re: Speedwarning/tach dash

Just an fyi for you and your sellers...it's missing the grounding pin that's on a correct speedwarning tin where the red wire goes through....that may be the reason why there was no buzzing. Was the red wire hooked up anywhere when you removed it?

Re: Speedwarning/tach dash

The pin is not a "must have". All it does is make a connection between the wire on the gauge, and the buzzer harness. It looks like someone just ran the speedo wire through the hole to connect it to the harness. A lot of setups are done this way and they work just fine. It is not seen when the gauge cluster is mounted.

No thanks, this can live in the parts stash unless someone gets closer to $400

2xs - When the needle hits your set speed it grounds and completes the circuit to make the buzzer go off

Re: Speedwarning/tach dash

An easy way to test the buzzer is to connect it directly to the positive and negative terminals of a car battery. Pictured here is how I test a buzzer, using a factory harness. I added a couple pigtails, the blue spade terminal ends shown in the upper left are touched to the positive and negative terminals of a car battery...it doesn't matter which, if the buzzer is good it will buzz either way. My guess is it is "dead" as most of them are.

I tested the buzzer as you showed, and it doesn't buzz. The buzzer must be dead like you guessed.

Sorry I am going to hold out for a bit more. I would really like to get closer to $400. This cluster parted out should be worth that easy.

Thanks!
