need ps box for 71 1/2 ton 4x4

I have read a lot of posts suggesting who to buy from for a rebuilt ps box.

What seems to be consistent is that they don't hold up. Does anyone have a source that they feel is reliable? My box came from NAPA and did not last more than 1.5 years, it was never right per the po.

So, where do I grab one? Wes at Classic Heartbeat looks to have some nice boxes, 1 yr. warranty, vs CPP lifetime, but no 4x4 applications.

thanks

Check out Red Head Steering Gears. Not cheap but probably the last unit you will have to buy. Look at the web site and the process they go through. The cardone, etal, rebuilt pumps are chiefly just reseals and don't take care of the real wear issues. If it's not worn real bad it may last a few years. I went through 3 NAPA rebuilt units in less than a year about 5-6 years ago. Got a Red Head and no issues. Not sure if they have your application but worth checking out. I think I got it from Wes at Classic Heartbeat.
