Which part is wrong?
Pulled the old engine out in my truck today to drop in the new one and when I went to pull the old one out the motor mounts weren't bolted to the perches. So before dropping the new engine in I bolted the motor mounts to the perches first and when I dropped the new engine into place the bolt holes didn't line up. So now I'm trying to figure out if the perches, mounts or the part bolted to the engine is wrong. The truck is a '64 c10 with a 250. Thanks for the help.

The mounts and the part bolted to the engine are the same on either side. Not sure about the perches, didn't look like they'd ever been off.

Found this picture, looks like the bracket on the passenger side is different.
Anyone know if that is the bracket I need and if so where to get one? |

You need to unbolt the rubber mount from the perch and bolt it to the bracket that is on the engine first. It makes it easier to just drop the one bolt through the frame perch.

The rubber mounts were bolted to the brackets on the old engine and the holes still didn't line up, they were off by about an inch each.

Go to this huge bracket site & compare pictures--u may have '67-up engine brackets instead of the '66-and olders. Looks to be about 1-inch difference. Could u just consider drilling another hole in each perch? Looks like an easy, feasible option.

I just put my 250ci onto the frame. The brackets that bolt to the engine are NOT identical.

Looking at the 230 in my 65 it appears you have 2 Driver side upper motor mount shells....
I assembled everything on the bench and then bolted to the motor, lowered it and attached to crossmember and frame. Take a look at the front motor mount swap out I did in the Official John Lee Jr thread...hope it helps. Here is a PS side set up just before installing a new anchor motor mount between upper bracket and lower perch. (As you can see, with the shorter PS upper perch, the engine sits lower in the bay. Since you have 2 of the long length DS upper perches, {instead of one long DS upper and one short PS upper} make sure you also have proper I6 lower perches. Useing 2 long DS upper perches holds the engine up too high and the bolts won't line up. Junk yard trip should get you good parts.) Here is the DS going into place.... Thanks everyone for the help. Haven't been able to find the passenger side bracket anywhere locally or online yet. Hopefully I'll find something soon, it's the last piece I need before I can start driving my truck again.
