Door handles
My next door neighbor gave me some handles this weekend one has a shorter collar on it can you guys tell the difference in these two handles.

The longer shaft one is from a 60s truck, I know because I bought a set with matching keys at the junk yard and had to cut them down to fit the 56. They started putting locks one both sides in the sixties, until then it was only the passenger side, so you could not get in the habit of getting out in traffic when parked.

Yes but you can swap the lock set itself to either handle if you want to add the locking part instead of button only, you just have cut the actuator shaft if going to pre 60.
