ok finally ordered my lift tuff country 2" anyone run this lift?, questions..
the kit doesn't come with a steering correction drop pitman arm so I guess it's not NEEDED but should I get one to make the angle better. Is there anything at all else I need besides what comes with the kit such as shims etc?

Re: ok finally ordered my lift tuff country 2" anyone run this lift?, questions..
I just ordered and installed this kit on my 83 6.2L 1/2 ton. Depending on who you ordered from, make sure the boots are included with the shocks. Mine had to be ordered separately, which I was not aware of, so now I have to put in another order for shock boots. I ordered the 2" lift with the HD springs for the front because of the diesel engine in my truck. I am not sure if they are labeled wrong, but it now sits 2" higher in the front than with my old 2" lift.
My box rails are level, but measuring from the ground to the wheel wells, it sits 2" higher in the front than back. I now should likely have some steering correction, and the steering link is at bit of an angle, where as on my old 2" lift, it sat horizontal. I am not sure if this will be the case with yours, but if you like the truck to look level, or a little bit of rake to it, you may need 3-4" in the back to keep it from looking like it's dragging tail. |
