who has built a crew cab?

Who has built a crew cab? I am curious about frame options and overall complexity of the build. who stayed 3 door vs 4th door option.

I have been seeing a lot of crew cabs in magazines and its peaked my interest that I might sacrifice my suburban to make a 1 ton crew cab long bed truck.

Im thinking 80's crew cab long bed frame would be my best choice for a 1 ton frame with the fewest mods. I'm hoping if I pull the trigger that I can make a megacab style cab so I can have extra storage behind the rear seats.

Thanks for any input

Chris

Re: who has built a crew cab?

I'm currently gathering parts to do that build, including the fourth door. I recently acquired a ragged out '71 Suburban on the cheap that I won't be afraid to take a body saw to.
