2013 Dream Cruise- Who's going
It's August 17th. Just wondering who all is planning on going to the Dream Cruise this year. Seeing that it is in my "backyard" I will definitely be cruising Woodward next weekend and possibly during the week leading up to it. Trying to decide whether I want to deal with the crowds on the day of. It's a big time commitment, specially with 2 young ones now. It's always a great time though.

Re: 2013 Dream Cruise- Who's going
Hey Mike,
I was not planning on going but I might drive that way if you are going to be parked somewhere? I would not mind to get down early and leave early and not get grid locked, if you know what I mean. Let me know what you are going to do and I will see. I have a flight out early on the 18th to St Louis, so I need to be ready for that. T |

Re: 2013 Dream Cruise- Who's going
Well like I said there is very little 'quick' about the day of. That is why I was trying to get a sense of what people on here were thinking. I would be more apt to meet up during the week or something, there will still be a lot of cars cruising and you might be able to actually drive. But the day of is more like going to a giant festival, you will not be able to get in and out of anywhere on the 17th.

Re: 2013 Dream Cruise- Who's going
I am only going to be in town Thursday afternoon/evening and Friday evening. I may cruise down there if anyone else is going during that time.
Mike, do you have a plan? We should make a meeting spot for anyone interested. Maybe somewhere around Janet Davis Cleaners would work ??? just a suggestion. I am open to anywhere but the closer to Pontiac the closer to home for me. I wish I could get down earlier but my job has me traveling early in the week. |

Re: 2013 Dream Cruise- Who's going
I'll be out there through the week in the evenings but probably not on Saturday.
I'll either be in my red '87 pickup or my '63 Grand Prix, depending on the weather. K

Re: 2013 Dream Cruise- Who's going
Changed my mind, I wouldn't mind meeting up with you guys. I'm open on the day(Thurs-Fri)/time/location. It'll be just as busy as on Saturday.

Re: 2013 Dream Cruise- Who's going
Sorry guys somehow I stopped getting notifications on this post, so I just figured that nobody was replying.
My week is getting filled up quick, I was thinking either Wednesday evening, or Friday afternoon/evening. Weather looks promising but that is if you can trust the forecast. I would definitely be interested in meeting up with some people. What time works for the most of you, and where? I am only semi-familiar with Woodward so I'll leave that up to ya'll...

Re: 2013 Dream Cruise- Who's going
From what I am reading, the best time for everyone that can go would be Friday afternoon/evening. As far as a meeting place, somewhere around Royal Oak / 13 mile area???
It will most likely be busy on Friday afternoon but not too bad. I am going to throw this out and see what everyone thinks. Arby's parking lot just south of 13 mile on the west side of Woodward at 4:30 / 5:00pm. Just a thought and I am open to any suggestions. |

The weather should be real nice for you guys. It seems like it is always so hot every year you dont feel like hanging around very long. Good luck and i hope you have fun.

Re: 2013 Dream Cruise- Who's going
Came home from work up Woodward tonight.
Got a "thumbs up" from the driver of the local Hyundai/Kia dealer courtesy van, so I thought that was kinda cool. K

Re: 2013 Dream Cruise- Who's going
I'm in for Friday at around 5 at Arby's. But like T said the location is flexible. I'm going to run home and get my son, he loves the trucks and he's only two. I figured start the tradition asap.

Re: 2013 Dream Cruise- Who's going
Arby's south of 13 is still the plan. Around 5pm. I may be there a little early depending on the crowd on the way.
Hope to see anyone who can make it. |

Re: 2013 Dream Cruise- Who's going
I have a feeling it will be pretty packed already, but I plan to be there. Who is planning on coming out?
T, I still have your number, let me know when you get out there.
