Flywheel Cover
I am still searching for a flywheel cover for my 69 - 396 3 speed. I have posted in the WTB and searched the parts board. Gone to junk yards, seems most people just chunk them.
Anyone know where I can find one? Had a 72 back in the 90's without one and two teeth on the flywheel broke. So every once and awhile I had to climb under there with a screwdriver to turn the flywheel so I could start it. Thanks guys

Re: Flywheel Cover
Is this a 1 pc or 2 pc cover? I was able to buy the 2 pc new GM from an online parts supplier.

Re: Flywheel Cover
Don't know if its the same bell housing, but I bought one off eBay to replace the one I was missing. I think I paid $20.
I also know Classic Parts sells a repro one. http://www.classicparts.com/55-72-Be.../#.UgOzTG3JI_c

Re: Flywheel Cover
This is the 2 pc style for the 6 cyl 3 spd.
The part number of the lower pc is GM 3714477. I got one from gmpartsdirect.com The price was $7.65 but the shipping is expensive. I'm not sure about the part number for the flat upper pc. I bought that on ebay. On mine, the bell housing doesn't go all the way around as it does for the one pc covers. This is the style that needs to the 2pc cover:

Re: Flywheel Cover
also try a tranny shop. I found one for the Olds/700r4 combo. Had to use universal plastic but they had one
