1967 Gmc. Thoughts?

non running nice interior with original tachometer cluster, original radio, nothing cut up. Truck has original V6 non running. Body is very clean only a few small dents and no signs of cancer. $2500 too much for this truck? I know a guy selling it.

Nice rig... Bein' a clean no rust Cali truck... even not running, that cat could easily get $2,500 bucks for it. Offer him a tad lower and go from there.

Re: 1967 Gmc. Thoughts?

Is it worth it to you? Do you want to work on it and get it running? Do you want a LWB truck? Is it registered? Non op? Title?

Options can be bought and added to any truck. Start by asking yourself some of these questions.

I think if you wouldn't mind having a long bed go for it. Appears to have alot of options and in good overall conditon. The non running issue may be fixed in a weekend. If it had "cancer" that takes alot more time/work.

Are you sure of that, or just assuming? You need to check and verify. Don't believe the myth that if it hasn't been registered for xx amount of years that its out of the system. I bought a truck that was not registered for over 15 years and th back fees were over 2K.

Find out what the fees will be. If it is "out of the system" then that clears the way and alleviates big headaches and expenses.

Yes sir vin and/or license plate number. I think you might be able to check the plate number on the DMV website, can't remember now.

Re: 1967 Gmc. Thoughts?

What happens if that truck is bought by someone outside of Cali? With a clean title in hand, I can't imagine any issues for the new owner if indeed registering it outside of the Cali area.
Is there a possibility of transferring it to a relative out of state for a period of time and then bringing it back into the state?
Just stirring the pot here...

Yep, I seriously would consider it pending a DMV fee check. Automatic tranny behind the V-6 as well!

Re: 1967 Gmc. Thoughts?

well i called DMV and found out that it was last registered in 99 and that there was a junk title on it. dmv said it would need an inspection done on it and a few hundred minimum of fees and after that it would be given a "salvaged" title. I think i'll pass. Thanks for the advice Leddzepp

Re: 1967 Gmc. Thoughts?

I'm guessing that gauge cluster alone is worth 600. I really like the looks of it. Too bad they are so strict in California with the inspections. Maybe youll get someone out of state like someone else mentioned and get a finders fee...
