What do you think of this sprayer?

http://www.harborfreight.com/high-vo...kit-44677.html

I figure on using it for some spray jobs in my truck's garage: wheels, door to the garage, redoing my cabinets...

Coming from Harbor Freight, probably junk.

Re: What do you think of this sprayer?

I can't say anything about what's in the link, but I've had good luck shooting inner fenders and the like w/ a $10 HF 47016/67181 gun. There are writeups for tuning these guns.

Not sure I'd paint a car w/ one though...

For latex I have a $25 (pawnshop thought it was broken) CH roll around sprayer.

Re: What do you think of this sprayer?

If you are willing to pay $120 for that harbor freight gun, just go ahead and buy a Devilbiss Finishline4 or 5 (around $180). There is a purple HF gun that costs like $34, I think the part # starts with a 6, that some guys use with luck for a few times. I bought one just for the heck of it, but had trouble unscrewing the cap. I finally got it off and found that the housing of the gun was cracked on both sides (hairline) and that it caused the threads to be shifted and off, making the gun unusable. This was straight out of the package. I got lucky and they swapped me out for a new one but I havent even opened it up yet.

edit: I finally got the link to open - I guess you are looking for a gun to spray stain/latex/etc. Still I wouldnt pay that for a HF gun

Re: What do you think of this sprayer?

Ya man, not hoping to paint my truck with this....just do some small jobs around the garage. Paint the outside of my garage's entry door, maybe the garage door itself (the one that goes up and down), and my cabinets. My air compressor is too big to move by myself.

Re: What do you think of this sprayer?

willl probally work fine for what you are lookin to do// main thing with a turbine is to realize that the air is heated and will dry quick// using the slowest drying thinner available is what i used to use so that it did not get sprayed on dry

Re: What do you think of this sprayer?

I answered this question in another post, and I said if a person were to use it in and around the house it probably would be fine for that. As for using it to paint a truck, probably less than satisfactory. It is not the fact the gun is not a high dollar gun that some people feel that they need to have to make a good paint job because I don't use those. I use those that come in the bubble packs with a couple in a kit around 120 for a pair. The main thing is to clean them every time you put something in the cup, they HAVE to be disassembled and cleaned to perform as expected to. Jim

Re: What do you think of this sprayer?

I actually have one, I bought it to spray the tin on the in side of my 40X60X12" tall pole barn.

It actually works pretty darned good. No way in hades I would try and paint a car with it, but it sprayed thicker Implement white paint better than I thought it would. Back when I purchased it though, it was 99.99.

Well thanks man, I have no desire to paint my truck with this, or anything else, as I have no garage space that would allow painting a vehicle, and I don't have any experience doing something like that. All I want this for it to paint the door to my garage, some garage cabinets, and maybe, just maybe, my steel wheels.

I'll try and get, thanks man, and everyone.
