EFI gas tank
I am building a underbed tank for the 56.
At the moment I am running normal carb set up but in the future will go to something like FAST EZ-EFI with in tank pump. Just trying to prepare the tank so I can make the conversion to in tank EFI pump easier. Does anyone have any diagrams or photos for in tank pump fittings etc?

Re: EFI gas tank
I think I just looked at a setup like you are thinking about in the latest issue of Custom and Classic Truck. The September 2013 issue. They used a pump from Aeromotive http://aeromotiveinc.com/ That went in a separate opening besides the normal fuel pickup/sending unit.
It's a new issue so it may not reach you for a while but I have an extra copy (forgot I got a subscription) if you want a closer look I can put it in a plane brown wrapper and send it to you. The way they do it you could retrofit an existing tank pretty easily. The magazine used this unit http://aeromotiveinc.com/products-pa...h-fuel-system/ for the article.

Re: EFI gas tank
Thanks Mr48.
I think this is the article you are talking about. http://www.customclassictrucks.com/t...nk_relocation/ I do like the Aeromotive pump option but EFI will not be on the cards for me this year. Currently running a 4 barrel carb but I am relocating the tank to under bed location. The tank is partially built. I want to continue to use the carb for a while and then when I am ready for EFI I want to have an easy retro fit of the in tank pump. So I am just trying to get some ideas on the best way to set up initially for carb / mechanical fuel pump and have an easy transition to EFI / in tank pump (hopefully later next year)
